Is TikTok Shop Available in the UAE? The Truth for Dubai Sellers (2026)
No. TikTok Shop is not available in the UAE as of October 2026. There is no UAE Seller Center, no local checkout for UAE consumers, and no official announcement from TikTok about a UAE launch date. TikTok Shop has not launched anywhere in the Middle East. If you are a brand or seller in Dubai, Abu Dhabi or anywhere in the Emirates, you cannot open a TikTok Shop in the UAE today. Is TikTok Shop live in the UAE in 2026?
No. Despite what some articles claim, TikTok Shop is not live in the UAE. There is no UAE option in TikTok Shop Seller Center, no local checkout for Emirati consumers, and no UAE seller registration page.
The confusion comes from two places. First, TikTok itself is hugely popular in the UAE, with millions of active users. Second, some writers have assumed that because TikTok advertising runs in the UAE, TikTok Shop must be live there too. It is not. TikTok Shop has not launched anywhere in the Middle East.
As of October 2026, TikTok Shop operates in 21 countries worldwide: 10 in Europe, 7 in Asia Pacific, 3 in the Americas, and 1 in the Middle East. None of those markets are in the Gulf or the wider Middle East. The UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain and every other MENA country remain without TikTok Shop.
Why is TikTok Shop not available in the UAE?
TikTok has not publicly explained why, but the pattern is consistent with how TikTok Shop expands. Each new market requires local logistics infrastructure, payment processing, regulatory compliance and seller support. TikTok builds these one market at a time.
TikTok Shop's expansion has so far prioritised Southeast Asia (live since 2021 and 2022), the UK (2021), the US (2023), and then a wave of EU markets between 2024 and 2026. The Middle East has not yet been part of any confirmed expansion.

Some industry reports have flagged the Gulf region as a likely future expansion area, and a Chinese OEM recruitment channel referencing the Middle East appeared in May 2026, which suggests internal preparation. But preparation is not a launch, and there is no confirmed date for any MENA market.

Can UAE consumers buy from TikTok Shop?
No. Checkout is only available to users in live markets. UAE-based TikTok users can see shoppable content from creators in the UK, the US and other live markets, but they cannot complete a purchase inside the app. There is no in-app cart or payment flow for UAE addresses.
What can UAE brands do right now?
You do not have to wait for a UAE launch to start selling on TikTok Shop. Brands in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and across the Emirates have practical routes into live markets today:
1. Sell into the UK market. The UK is the most mature Western TikTok Shop market, live since 2021 with 9% commission. You will need a UK entity, UK VAT registration, and local fulfilment.
